A lot of people ask, “how do I learn taqsim”? Well part of the answer is by using your ear to catch melodies and try to play them as you hear them. This is partly an ear training exercise as well as an Oud playing exercise. The problem is, it’s so hard to play along with fast taqasim, so what I’ve provided are some audio files with really slow melodic phrasing.
